I was so sorry to learn about the news of Barbara's death through Mary Woods (Alexsovich). We really enjoyed knowing her. she was a very interesting and smart woman. Patty Jones and I used to fill up Patty's station wagon with plants from Barbara's garden and now, even though we moved house sixteen or so years ago, I still have Barbara's violets (or "violents" as she called them) growing in my "new" garden to remind me of her.
