I met Dr. Stanley in 2003. I thought he was very interesting but didn't think he would like me because people told me to "watch out for him." I didn't listen and I am so very glad I didn't! Our friendship spanned 11+ years, the terror of my son enlisting, heartbreak with my daughter, and two degrees. He was a wonderous storm that blew through my life and I would not have missed it for anything in the world! I always knew that he believed in my abilities and in me as a person and I will always miss being able to pick up the phone, say "Whatcha up to, Boss", and hearing a smile on the other end of the line. I loved (love) him dearly.
