#5Remembering Joyce —

Joyce has been my sister-in-law for fifty seven years. It often seemed as if she was more of a sister to me, then a sister-in-law. We raised our families together and I will always remember the fun times and laughter on our many vacations and the times we shared at our cabin at the lake. To my brother Ron, Darcey, Daryl, grandkids and great-grand child, my deepest sympathy. I will miss her very much.

We here in Hawaii loved momma Joyce. She exuded the true Aloha Spirit - that of unfolding the beauty of love to whomever she encountered. Her contagious and radiant smile, her warmth, her caring and loving words were so well appreciated. The sound of her laughter would brighten any room. Momma Joyce loved Hawaiian music and at the sound of the ukulele, she would gracefully move her arms as if dancing the hula! We will miss you momma Joyce, but we are rest assured that we have another angel watching over the Miss Hawaii Program. Aloha oe and A Hui Hou - until we meet again!
Joyce was a wonderful mother and a great friend. There are not too many high school memories I have that don't include her. She was always there for us girls. Her wonderful daughter Darcey was my best friend in high school. Such joy hanging out with her family and calling them my own. Love you Momma!!!

I worked with Joyce at US Bank in the 1980's and have never forgotten her. She was so good at her job - caring and yet thorough. She loved her family and continually shared stories with all of us. Joyce was a mentor, friend, co-worker, mom and overall beautiful woman. She is flying high in heaven.
Joyce was a terrific Mother and provider who cared about those she loved like a Mama Bear. She was a super hard worker, very opinionated, and someone with high standards who expected the best of us all. We miss you and love you and will carry on always Mom! R I P- Love - Dirk
