Shocked and saddened to have just heard of the death of Martin. Not only a great friend and work colleague at BAT Kenya - but a thoroughly decent human being.

The pain of loosing a loved one is sometimes so real that it makes us ask ourselves whether God cares. The death of Baba Maureen to me was shocking; one fateful morning when someone called to confirm with me the truth about such sad news. Little did she know that i had no idea and for a minute i began to think of which Martin that perhaps had been sick. I disconnected that call to call one Dr. Lucy Omumbo-Otieno(n iece to Martin) to confirm the same. It was the reality!!!!! Coming to terms with this is still not anywhere close by. All I can say, Baba Maureen rest in peace. We'll all join you there at some point. Mos uru ahinya Mama Maureen, Dr. Maureen/William , Marylin/Francis and Max/Esther. We feel a part of you in this massive loss. To us jo-gem, we have truly lost a dear or(son in-law).
