Mama, you considered your interaction with everyone as one digging for gold that encounters a lot of dirt in the process. S/He pays no attention to the dirt as exemplified by you. You focused on the good in people and found “golden” nicknames for them, even for the grandchildren.
We miss you, mama,
Rest in Peace

Mama, I met you as my Mother-in-Law. But in no time, you transcended into my Mother-in-Love because you loved me unconditionally and I loved you right back-unapologet ically.
One of my best hosting times so far in marriage was when you honoured me and my Family with your presence on your way back from one of your trips abroad. You were so interesting to be with which made attending to you, fun and effortless. You wanted me to be the best in everything and in every way. Mama, you inspired my favorite dress style today, the turtlenecked outfit. I can never forget how your face lights up whenever I wore one. You made me understand that I do not have to show so much skin to look nice.

I then started wearing such more often cos I wanted to make you happy all the time. And I know you were happy with me on that fateful day in Agbor when we bade you farewell to Heaven because i turtled up for you. Mama Virtue, you may be gone from the earth but the virtues you taught us linger and lives with us.
We Love and miss You!!!

Hello, my friend! (This is the ‘greeting’ my Mom and I have always exchanged).

I feel honored and privileged to have been your daughter.
You were the best mother anyone could wish and ask for.
You were a prayer warrior and a strong shoulder to lean on.
You taught us how to give generously. You taught us to love and respect all without boundaries.
You were my friend and you will be greatly missed. I love and miss you, dear mother!

Your daughter,

Blessing Ebere Umugbe
