We just learned about the passing of my daughter's Doula and babysitter, and a good friend, Lee Pershyn. Words are failing me now to begin to explain how much Lee was such a huge part of my family and my daughter’s world from birth to pre-school. Lee was there right after we adopted Karana. I loved the special songs she made up for my daughter, Karana. She gave Karana a baby doll which was named Baby Lee. She was a loving and caring force in our lives. She helped me get through my first year of motherhood and continued to help us out as Karana grew. From being our Doula to babysitter and dear friend…we will miss her dearly. Karana and I saw her at our diner when she came back up to Amherst. Karana ran into her arms and hugged her tightly. From Rima Dael, Karana Braxton (age 7) and Brandon Braxton we send our condolences to Melody and Greg and all of Lee’s family. Please know that your Mom helped make us a family! We will indeed go to a water park this summer, sing on the swings, and pay it forward! Thank you Lee for your love and laughter.
I just found out about Lee this morning and I was so saddened by the news. Lee came into our lives at such a key time. When my niece was adopted, the most important thing to us was that my niece felt loved for in her new home. Lee helped create that - she added to that circle for my niece. She didn't do that just for our family, but so many other families. She made an impact on each of us. It's very rare to find someone who can give, constantly give, so much of her energy and her heart. Lots of light and love, Lee. Thank you.
Melody and Greg, my deepest condolences over the loss of your mom, my Aunt Lee. I am truly saddened by her passing and have great memories I'll keep with me forever. From as far back as I can remember, she was always wonderful to me and, into adulthood, to my entire family. She'd always greet me by saying "How's my favorite nephew?" She's always sent gifts around the holidays and birthdays to our kids, and has always been kind and generous. I know this is a tough period and I want you to know that I'm always here for you. With the passing of my dad and your mom, it's definitely the end of an era, but we will always have memories. By the way, as I know your mom always loved water parks, I love the photo of your mom floating in the tube above. She looks incredibly happy. Sending all my love. I will definitely miss my Aunt Lee! XOXOXO - Love, Cris
LOVE LEE!! She was always so kind and giving. Every time I saw her she would thank me for some little thing I didn't even realize I had done. She was full of such gratitude making everything she touched a little better.
Thank you all so much for your love and support! Please take a moment to share a special memory, or tell us how you are remembering the unique and colorful life of Lee Pershyn.
