I was deeply saddened by the news. Jon was a lovely man, we first met in London in 1966 and formed an immediate friendship – we shared the same sense of humour and when I felt down could always rely on him to make me laugh. We spent many happy times together when he and Johann moved to Battle. A gentle and kind man – much loved and will be sorely missed by all who came in contact with him.

I was gutted to hear of the passing of dear Jon, we’ve always been great pals since we were 6 or 7 years old. I lived opposite him in Farmington Avenue, we always walked to school together, played ‘dressing-up’ in his garden may times, loved it!! During the summer holidays we would walk to school for our 1/3 pint of milk each day, which I thought was a waste of time, but Mum insisted!!. The happy days we had together will be with me forever.

| met Jon many years ago when we were all part of the British Alliance. Jon was always fun to be with and yet with all the quick wit and repartee, his love and belief in the power of healing and his desire to promote its availability were evident. His insights and his philosophy on life were always borne of his love, empathy and understanding of people.
When we created the Friendly Group, Jon and Sussex Healers were one of the seven founder members. We believed that there was a better way to influence the development of healing on a national level by consensus and friendship rather than by division and rancour. Thus the Friendly Group was born and to this end we continue still in friendship and agreeing to differ. We became affectionately known as the ‘healing watchdog’.
Although there came a time when Jon was unable to attend the meetings he continued to support and give us the benefit of his thoughts and ideas on the various topics that arose.
He will continue to be greatly missed by us all although | have a feeling that now he will be keeping an eye on what we do in the future, probably chuckling at our endeavours and gently nudging us in the right direction.

My abiding memory of Jon will be his unfailing calmness. In the 80 years I've known him I never once heard him raise his voice or lose his temper. I always will regret that because of distance I didn't get to see more of him, but we spoke regularly on the phone. It was Jon's work on the family tree that inspired me to do some research and I'm proud of the fact that between us we have left a legacy for present and future generations. Like me, Jon believes in reincarnation. It is my earnest hope that we will meet up again some time in the future - in different guises maybe, but I hope we'll have as good a relationship then as we have had in this life.
