Dad was always kind and patient with me, even under trying circumstances. He strove to be fair with us four children, and was generous with each one.

Frank and Margaret were our neighbor for over 30 years. Such a fun and delightful couple, caring, loving and always the best example. Frank spent so many years here at River House on our HOA board, guiding us through some difficult times. They were very active at all of our parties and events, always with big smiles and happy to share in the fun. Frank always gave big hugs and sometimes a little smooch on the cheek. We will miss his knowledge, his input and integrity. Jim and Joyce Morrelli
#2Vocabulary lesson —

Holly, One strong memory I have of your dad is at your family's dinner table when I was in high school. For some reason your dad thought we needed a vocabulary lesson and taught us the word "egregious." I'll never forget that word--what it means and how to spell it. I think you must have inherited his love of words. Love, Gracie Beazely
Frank was always a model of disciplined living, but he did have a focus that occasionally made it difficult for others to connect with him. When Holly and I had decided to become engaged we were visiting at their house and I needed to do the "asking for the daughters' hand in marriage" bit. I told Dad that I would like to have a talk with him and asked if we could go out for coffee. He had in mind that he was going to work in the yard and said that I could work in the yard with him. Once we got outside he gave me my assignment - which was on the opposite side of the property from where he was working. Holly was watching this activity from the window with amazement and frustration.
Eventually, everything worked out and Dad was a terrific father-in-law to me. I am grateful for the example he left in many areas of living with discipline.
