Barry Ralph Hale, son of Ralph and Violet Hale (Sweet) died after long illness with multiple chronic diseases on January 8, 2021 at age 84 in Tarzana, CA where he resided at Tarzana Senior Living.
Born on August 2, 1936, Barry was a proud graduate of Stevens High School in Claremont, NH, Class of 1954, and is survived by many cousins and friends who are also alumni of Stevens High School. He attended Brandeis University on a music scholarship completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1958. He shared his lifelong love of music with friends, family and students and seemed to remember every word and note of every song he ever sang.
He was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Teresa Hale, and his younger brother, Tom Hale. He is survived by Jeffrey Hale, Windsor, VT, Sarah McKillop, Melbourne, FL, Laura Hale, Carson City, NV, Stephen Hale, Cocoa, FL, Barry Davison, Gaithersburg, MD, Mary Vasquez, Amarillo, TX, Erica Bosh, Valley Glen, CA, Sergio Hale, Westlake Village, CA and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Barry willed his remains to Research for Life and his ashes will be scattered at sea. A virtual memorial will be held on Saturday, January 16th at 12 noon (PST).
