Light a Candle
Stanley L. Upson, JR., age 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 19, 2021. Stanley was born on November 30, 1947 in Amesbury, MA. Stanley was predeceased by his parents; Rita and Stanley Upson Sr. Stanley is survived by his brother Stephen Upson, sister Donna Lucier and brother Richard Upson. Stanley is also survived by his son James Upson, wife Kristin, grandchildren Tyler and Ashley and his daughter Christie Dunker, husband Bruce Dunker and grandchild Gavin. Grampy Stan was an avid Boston sports fan and would want us to remember him by continuing to cheer for the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins. He loved his grandchildren and he loved his sports right up to his last days listening to the Sox set grand slam records and Kike catching fire. The family would like to provide a special thanks to all the medical providers at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Boston General Hospital and Boston Medical Center for all their efforts, hope and dignity provided over the last six months.
