A lifelong learner and educator, Shunichi taught at Earlham College, University of Michigan, Middlebury Language School, Nanzan University, and Nagoya University of Foreign Studies. He graduated from Waseda University and lived in the United States for 17 years before returning to Japan. He traveled widely, loved to learn about new cultures and people, and appreciated all that life had to offer.
