Memorial Biography

Sara Staller, much beloved mother and grandmother, passed away of natural causes at the age of 95 in Red Bank, New Jersey, on August 19, 2015. Sara, a  remarkably attractive, quick-witted, and sharply dressed woman, was an ardent New York Times crossword puzzle solver, and devoted fan of Frank Sinatra, trivia, solitaire, and fresh green salads. Born in Los Angeles, California, on June 17th, 1920, Sara was the youngest of six children.  Her gregarious  personality and effortless charm proved to be a perfect fit for a career in sales at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City, where she was employed for nearly two decades. Sara passed away in her sleep on August 18th with her daughter, Beth, by her side. She was laid to rest on August 24, 2015 at the Ferncliff cemetery in Hartsdale, New York. She is Survived by her daughter, Beth Divney, and her twin grandchildren, William and Elizabeth. We will never forget Sara's beautiful face, characteristic smile, good character and dynamic sense of humor that so powerfully impacted all of the people she loved. We will forever have her face and heart etched in our memories.
