Memorial Biography

God Announces New Member to His Heavenly Choir - Sally Love DiLodovico

Concert pianist, composer, beloved music teacher, “Hallelujah” exclaimer & complimenter extraordinaire was crowned with glory in heaven.

She was a woman after God’s heart. She saw strength and beauty in everyone she encountered. Even her maiden name was God’s favorite four letter word.

Simply put, Sally LOVE“d" everything.

Extolling virtues in others was her mojo. Everyone knew what Sally admired, especially her family: husband of 25 years, Vince DiLodovico, and their children, Leigh Ann Bauerle (Jack), Laurie Cross (Scott), Lisa DiLodovico, Marc DiLodovico (Thaymi), Katie Anderson and their 10 grandchildren, John, Magill and Duke Bauerle; Evan and Samantha Cross; AJ and Jesse DiLodovico; Andrew, Aaron and Adam Anderson.

Her passion for God knew no bounds and opened doors of opportunity.

Sally’s God-given gift of music received the highest honor and blessing when she performed for His Holiness, Pope John Paul II at St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican.

Her music and praise touched thousands of lives from teaching piano to hundreds of children and leading innumerable Sunday worship services in California, Washington and Pennsylvania. God’s music also introduced Sally to her husband Vince during church choir practice. Their European honeymoon included her performances with Chester County Voices Abroad high school singers. This made perfect sense since Sally’s favorite movie was the “The Sound of Music.”

Her praises evangelized golf courses too. “Hallelujah” exclamations accompanied nearly every shot, particularly her putts.

Behind the scenes, her charismatic spirit was grounded in the Word of God. Handwritten verses wallpapered walls throughout her home. Her mind was a living human Bible concordance. Scripture was her ammunition against the evils of brain cancer. It kept her alive, it healed her and gave her peace. Even near the end of her life, she recited verses with ease and her eyes sparkled with the light of the Lord.
