Memorial Biography

I MISS YOU MOM

I miss the warmth of your gentle hug and the love I felt when my arms were wrapped around you. I miss seeing your beautiful smile and that sparkle in your eyes, I miss the sound of your voice saying my name. I miss hearing you say, “I love you,” and me saying, “I love you” in return.

I miss saying “Mom” out loud. I miss not being able to find that special card for you, and then having found it, writing “To Mom” on it  for yet another cherished Mother’s Day. I miss spending 6 months of my time, every year, looking for that perfect purse that you always looked forward to and loved so much.

I miss your words of wisdom and our family without you in it. I miss the look in your eyes that traveled straight to my heart. I miss the gift of you in the life I have embraced from the day I was born. I miss YOU Mom!

I miss having you share the feelings that linger deep within my soul; there is emptiness there where you once were. I miss you saying…”this is my daughter” and the look of pride you held with each word spoken.

I think about you every day. I miss you every day. I still pick up the phone to call you, but then remember - you're not there.

I miss you calling me at 5am on a snow day asking me not to go to work, even when I was 49. I miss you asking me to call when I got home, call when I get there. I miss you asking to go to all my doctor appointments with me. I miss you mostly at Thanksgiving when you brought your plastic bags for leftovers and always made sure the wing was just for you.

Time - we can never get that back. I regret every moment I could have spent with you and didn't; I cherish every moment that I could spend with you and did.

You Mom, were the one person that loved me in a way that only a Mom can, and I'll never feel that again.

I hope you are enjoying heaven. I will see you again someday Mom, and when I hold you I will never let go again.

Love Always and Forever,
Eileen
