Mary Ann was born at Fort Benning Georgia on October 19, 1951. She grew up an Army brat with an older brother and a younger brother and sister. The family retired from the Army in Security, Colorado; a suburb of Colorado Springs. She graduated in 1969 from Widefield High School. Soon after graduation she was married and had her first child, a daughter in April of 1972. In April of 1976 she gave birth to a son. Soon after she was divorced and became a single mother to her two children. She worked many years as a waitress to support herself and her children. In the early 1980's she remarried and gave birth to a second daughter in he August of 1984. She began a new career working in the commisary at Peterson Air Force base just before her second daughter was born. She spent 23 years working in the commissary. She was again divorced and carried on as a single mother yet again. She became ill when she turned 50 years old when she found a lump in her breast. After surgery and many treatments her cancer went into remission. During her treatments it was discovered that she also suffered from pulmunary hypertension and schleraderma. The schleraderma soon took control and she became even more ill. In early April 2006 she was admitted into the hospital with resperatory distress. By April 12th they had discovered that her cancer had returned and the following day she was called home. She is survived by her older brother and her younger sister, her three children and nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. They all miss her dearly. She was taken from us too soon.
