Schlueter, Mark Eldon, 63, of Kansas City, Missouri died in his home on July 30, 2020 due to chronic alcoholism. Mark was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University where he earned a Metallurgical Engineering degree. He moved to Kansas City, Missouri for employment at the Bendix Federal Complex with the U.S. Department of Energy where he produced non-nuclear components for the United States nuclear bomb arsenal. After being laid off from Bendix he became a self-taught computer expert, earning his certifications and worked at a local credit union in Mission, Kansas in their IT department. Although divorced after 16 years, his ex-wife would like to say thank you to him for giving her two wonderful sons whom she is most proud of.
He is survived by his two sons: Aaron (Julia), 23, of Gladstone, Missouri and Branden, 16, of Kansas City, Missouri, who resides with his mother. He was preceded in death by his parents Eldon "Tib" Schlueter (b: Davenport, IA) and Ida (Harksen) Schlueter (b: Bredstadt, Germany). Mark has been cremated and services will be at a later date.
