MANOLO If you ask a hundred people who Manolo was, they’d all give you a different story… An epic artist. An incredible poet. The biggest clown they’ve ever met. A Santa Clouse impersonator. A super storyteller. The best soccer coach and player ever. Family and friends, it is with deep sadness that the Guerra, Jimenez family announces the passing of a very special person, my Papito, Manuel Guerra Martis ~ “Manolo”. Manolo passed away peacefully and honorably in his upstate, NY home on Friday 22, 2022 at the age of 89. My Mami, Victoria Jimenez, his wife for 59 years & a few family members were by his side at the time of his death. Manolo was born on March 23, 1933, in Santiago, Chile. He migrated to the United States in 1977 and soon thereafter brought his family to America in 1979. Manolo was known for his wacky humor, epic asados, his unbelievably unique art & his wild stories. His passions included the immense love of all animals, gardening, watching futbol, making people laugh, writing & so much more. But what I loved most about my papi was the way he loved… The incredible passion he had for life & most importantly for my Mami… He was one of the biggest romantics I know. He lives behind his loving wife, Toty and 4 children, Marco Antonio, Rodrigo, Carmen Patricia & Jose Luis.
