Memorial Biography

Lloyd Miller was born on the 6th of November 1932 to Lydia and Henry Miller in Huntington Beach, California.

Lloyd had four siblings, Leslie Miller (d), Joan Turner, Jean Pogue and Penne Burkhard. Lloyd was best known for his outstanding kindness and loyalty to family and friends. Prior to and after his fathers’ death, Lloyd cared for his mother and younger sisters. He often worked with his brother Les in the oil fields of Orange County.

Lloyd was a worshipper of the only true God Jehovah. He dedicated his life and was baptized in 1950 at the age of 18. He proved to be faithful to his dedication.

In 1957, Lloyd married Jacqueline Prather (d) having three children with her: Lisa (d), Jeffrey, and Jennifer (d.) Lloyd was very much a family man. Lloyd was a union electrician for over 30 years; following that, he started Miller Photography. He and Jacque worked as a team to photograph many weddings and portraits.

After retiring, Lloyd focused on helping others, particularly the elderly by visiting them regularly. In his later years, he enjoyed association with the Winlock Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was dearly loved by all. Lloyd leaves behind his sisters Joan, Jean, and Penne, his son Jeff and wife Cindy; his grandchildren Amanda, Sarah, Wendy, Jacob, Isaac, Benjamin, and Kiana; his great-grandchildren Danika, Malia, Madison, Mallory, and Dexter as well as one great-great-grandson Silas, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. While Lloyd will be missed, he strongly believed that it would only be for a short time before his resurrection on a restored earth. We will miss him until then.
