Light a Candle
Juan was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico. When he was 20 years old he decided to go to the Army. When his time was up, he re-enlisted and stayed a full 7 years in the Army.
He was very proud of his enlistment in the Army and always talked about it and how he loved being there. He has several medals and ribbons.
Juan and I met in New Jersey and have a son who is now 37 years old and a grandson who is 7. Juan loved his grandson very much and talked with him on the phone frequently. He would call our grandson his baby.
Juan was always a very happy man, always friendly with everyone. I miss him so very much and know he is in God's hands now and one day hope to see him again.
