Edith Bennette was born on June 28, 1925 in Terrell Texas to Katie and Calvin Huff, among her siblings they were taught to love the Lord, She recieved a certificate of recognition as a pioneer member of the Lake Coma Church of Christ in Texas. Her favorite song was "I'll Fly Away" and "Father Alone" and her favorite scripture was Ephesians 6:10-18, a soldier she was.. She married Lewis Bennette and gave birth to 4 beautiful children, Emmette, George, Ann, and Mia. She began caring and helping at a young age as a nurse. A beautiful mother and wife she was, teaching her family the importance of God. She moved to California and Married Armstead Bennette, who preceded her in death on October 16, 1984. Being a woman of God and maintaining her strength by her faith in the Lord, even through her illness she continued to smile and made everyone laugh. She believed in constant prayer. You would see her during the day praying continually, before becoming ill she placed her membership at Long Beach Church of Christ, helping as much as she could, as kindhearted and generous person. She honestly lived a Long Life. Everyone will miss you grannie Edith, but you have gone home with the Lord, and we must say Farewell for now. She leaves to cherish her legacy and memories: Daughthers and Sons, Emmette, George, Ann and Mia, along with son in laws Michael Harris and Greg Michaels, 6 Grandchildren: Vereta, Donald, Justin, Daveon, Christina, and Darrell, 7 Great Grandchildren: Raina, Lisa, Donald Jr., Crystal, Eric, Michael, and Harrold, and a host of other loving relatives and friends
