Memorial Biography

Dorlean D. Hawkins-Rowland was born 12/1/1963. Her parents were John Young, Jr. and Gloria Young (Mattox) of Livingston, TN. Dorlean was a proud member of the Rickman High School basketball team growing up. She loved the Bulldogs, and was a beast on the court.She was also a huge fan of her family, animals, music, and professional sports. She was a huge Nascar fan, particulary Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. She was also a fan of The University of TN, Duke University, The Chicago Bears, and The Indianapolis Colts. Her favorite player was Peyton Manning. She was also a fan of different music, but mostly rock n'roll. Her all-time favorite band was Motley Crue. She was passionate about animals, and always regretted not becoming a vet. She believed animals, were better than humans and loved them dearly. Dorlean passed from life at age 57, in her home, in Cookeville, TN. She passed on September 5, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents; John Young, Jr and Gloria Young (Mattox). She leaves her daughters; Chasity (Eric) Caviness of Crawfordsville, IN and Kaylia (Christina) Aleman of Kingsport, TN. She also leaves her granddaughters; Aspen, Liberty, and Brooklyn Caviness of Crawfordsville, IN, a sister; Delinda Brenzil (Scott) of Ontario, Canada, and her precious dog, Bailey. Dorlean will be cremated by Tri-Star Cremation in Nashville, TN. She had no life insurance so any donations to Tri-Star are welcome. You can also donate to her daughters' GoFundMe or personally for a plaque they are saving up for.
