Light a Candle
Don Kelley, 76, passed away May 12, 2022 at The Center at Lowry of natural causes. He was born February 26, 1946, in Valentine Nebraska, a son of Bill Kelly and Ellen Estes. He grew up in Nebraska and then moved to Denver CO in his early 20’s. He worked at Gates Rubber Company and then started his career at Denver Fire Department. He retired from DFD after 34 years in 2001. He also owned and operated Don’s Tractor Service, his snow plowing and excavating company. He had a love for adventure. He enjoyed fast cars, collecting cars, boating, snowmobiling, ATV’s, dune buggies, hunting, shooting, flying airplanes, his precious dogs and his family. He is survived by his daughters, Taunya and her husband Jeremie of Bennett, CO and Nicole Forehand of Sahuarita AZ; a brother Bill Kelly of Rock Springs ID;, a brother Ron Kelly of Boise, ID; a sister Diane Kelly Lewis of Nampa ID; and a sister Cheryl Kelly Moore of Meridian ID; 12 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday June 2, 2022 at Colorado Professional Firefighters Event Center at 12 Lakeside Ln Denver CO 80212. Please RSVP to taunyahuschka@gmail.com.
