Light a Candle
Damien Bernard Johnson was born on May 2, 2005 to Nicole Galloway Nelson and Michael Bernard Johnson. He departed life on earth November 18, 2020 surrounded by his immediate family. Damien was a student at Chickasaw Middle School with a dream of graduating and becoming an entrepreneur to own many businesses. He confessed his belief in Christ this year; however, due to the pandemic, his baptism was pending. He was a caring and loving young man with a handsome smile. Damien leaves a tremendous void for his mother, Nicole Galloway Nelson, father, Michael Johnson Sr., and his brothers and sisters, Tynearia Johnson, La’Darius Polk, Nikayla Galloway, Michael Johnson Jr., and Morgan Johnson. He is also mourned by his grandparents, Sharon Galloway, Anthony Williams, William Nelson, and he has two late grandparents, Margaret Hardrick and John Johnson. In addition, he is mourned by his uncles, Alan Hardrick, Christopher Galloway, and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends through his Galloway, Hardrick, Jackson, Johnson, Nelson, Shorter, Shelton, Williams, and Young families. “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.”
