Clifford Fredrick Kliesing Jr., 70, passed away on April 20, 2013, at his home in Houston, TX. He was born on December 21, 1942, in Alvin, TX, first son of Cliff and Mary Boyce Kliesing of Pearland.
He graduated from Pearland HS in 1960. After high school, he attended Univ of Houston and received his pilot's license at an early age of 19. He was a corporate pilot for many years working for DrillCo, General Crude Oil and other local energy companies before signing on with American Eagle Airlines where he worked for 28 years as line pilot, chief pilot, trainer and check airman for the Flight Academy.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Leda, of 36 years; step-children, Nicole Shanahan and Marc Lewin; brothers and sisters, Mary (Puggy Yost), Tommy, Jesse, Kathy (Davis), Dianne (Day) , Randy, Beverly (Phillips) and LaRetta (Henrickson); grand-daughters, Sydney, Darby, Molly (Shanahan) and many nieces and nephews.
A gathering of his family and friends will be held at South Park Funeral Home at 1310 North Main Street, Pearland with a ceremony at 7 pm and visitation between 5 – 9 pm. Condolences may be left on Cliff Kliesing's online guest book at cliffkliesing.remembered.com.
