Memorial Biography

Charles Earl Chancey Jr was born in Gainesville, FL but spent most of his life in Bronson, Fl. He had been working in New Orleans for the last couple of years. He died in Milton, FL with his family. He is survived by his mom Nancy Chancey, sister Jenny Manning, his wife Tonya Hyson, four kids Cameron, Brenda, Alex and Dylan, his nephew Austin Manning and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded by his father Charles Chancey. Charles was a huge Yankees and an Florida State fan. He loved anything with Native American art due to his heritage. He is known by several names (Charles, Charlie, Charlie Earl, Earl, Scooter, Big C, and Little Earl). Back in high school the main nickname was scooter and this was tattooed on his back with a half of sun. Earl liked to draw and he was known for his artwork among his sense of humor. Family meant a lot to Charles, he was close to our parents and cousins. We grew up always being close to our family members and Charles always managed to stay in touch with everyone he can. After high school he met his wife Tonya and they were together for over 15 years. Tonya and the kids were Earl’s world, along with their dog Daisy. Earl has a passion to work in tree service, there was something that he liked and didn’t want to do anything else. He's worked for several tree service companies making his mark. One thing about Earl he loved everyone he met. He was making jokes when he could, smile that goofy smile with those chubby cheeks. I don’t remember a day when Charles didn’t have those pinchable cheeks. There are so many things I can say about Charles and memories to share but I am still at a loss of words.
