Brendan Joseph Bakken
Age 71
Passed away April 28, 2019 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. Preceded in death by parents Olaf and Maureen Bakken, brother Ollie and nephew Connor. Survived by loving wife Linda of 51 years, daughter Schelly (Steven) Gores, son Brendan Bakken (April), Grandchildren Emalee and Mark Gores, Evelyn and Marjorie Bakken, siblings Peter (Bonnie), Melvin, Maura (Jay) Humsey, Kevin (Beth) and sister-in-law Mary Bakken; many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Brendan worked as a mechanic, butcher and trucker driver. He started his own business, BJB trucking where he later retired. Brendan was an avid year-round fisherman so we will be having a fish fry for his Celebration Of Life at the Arcade-Phalen American Legion, 1129 Arcade Street, St. Paul, MN on Saturday, June 1st from 11-2pm.
