She was an amazing person, a brilliant mind and a true embodiment of morality. Her passing is one of humanity's greatest losses. I will miss her forever. Rest in peace, my friend! Love Norbert

Shelley was first my father's girlfriend, then she became everything to me - - mentor, sister, and mom .. she taught me about Feng Shui and metaphysics, how to scry in anything, was always there as a psychic sounding board as I was for her .. her remarkable and accomplished knowledge base had no end. Thank you to the many wonderful friends supported her plight: Phil, Steve, Tater, and Carrie .. who tried against the greatest of odds to regain Shelley's freedom. I was baffled that she did not magically loosen the legal noose that was set around her - - she absolutely could have. I still hear her voice, her inimitable cadence. We love you and wish you the best of everything.

Shelley was born as a descendant of Shanghai Pierce, an early Texas settler who left his brand on Texas history. Her grandmother was every bit as steely and gritty, having deftly side-stepped attempts by “well meaning citizens” to take over the family hardware/lumber store upon the death of her husband. She heard the various offers to buy her lucrative business, and surprised the whole town by taking the reins herself and continuing success in her husband’s stead. So it is no wonder that Shelley Thomson should inherit and fully possess remarkable intelligence, aptitude and fortitude in the face of lessons that life hands us as we pass along our unique trajectories. Shelley was a physicist at UC Berkeley, a stock broker at Merrill Lynch and a teacher of metaphysics and the mantic arts under the name, “Victoria.” She had students who routinely studied at her home in Berkeley and in a studio in Alameda. Shelley had also been involved in witchcraft, voodoo, psychic work, scrying, gazing, crystal magic, remote viewing and feng shui. She taught me so much in those realms that I use every day. We used to be psychic sounding boards for each other’s deepest questions and immediate needs .. I believe that Shelley married a fellow scientist years ago and that for whatever reason it did not work out. I met Shelley when she was dating my father, Harold (Hal) Treacy. That was ages ago in the 1980’s .. we remained friends ever since. Shelley referred to her mom as, “Mother” - - at once reminiscent of her rather Victorian childhood and class conscious upbringing. We’ll miss her unique voice, phraseology, cadence of speech .. we’ll miss her intellect and friendship. Love, Selene Smith

#1 Remembering Shelley Thomson By Steve GlanzSteve Glanz 2025-08-14 00:58
I first met Shelley Thomson in the early 1980s at the San Francisco Tesla Society. She stood out among the men there with her sharp intellect and deep curiosity. Over the years, we became friends, exchanging ideas on spiritual, metaphysical, and scientific topics through long conversations and email correspondences . Shelley was instrumental in founding a National Tesla Group and later led the local Tesla society, organizing events at the crossroads of science and metaphysics. She also conducted groundbreaking experiments, including one on long-distance psychokinesis, in which I participated—su rprisingly setting off an alarm thousands of miles away through thought alone. Her work was ahead of its time and later published in academic journals. Before we met, Shelley studied with shamanic masters and later worked as a psychic detective. She also shared stories of her interactions with extraterrestria ls. She had a generous heart, once gifting me money during financial hardship and helping me resolve a noisy neighbor issue with a simple ritual. She later moved to New Mexico, where she organized a conference on alternative energy and propulsion, attracting top scientists. But in 2019, her life took a tragic turn. After a brief health issue, she was wrongfully declared incapacitated, placed in a nursing home, and stripped of her home and belongings by the state. Despite legal efforts, we couldn’t free her. Shelley’s final years were marked by neglect and abuse. We believe she was starved or poisoned, and authorities blocked an autopsy. At her funeral, I tuned in psychically—she was present, filling the space with her energy. She now explores the other side, reunited with her mother, feeling our love and gratitude. I miss Shelley, but I’m comforted that she has finally found the freedom she was denied in life.
