Dearest Tio Joaquin....i can't beleive its been a year already... i feel like i'm waiting for you to visit from Nica but you haven't come :-( I miss you and love you very much and think of you always. John and I have lost a very dear friend and today we mourn as family does when a beautiful soul such as Joaquin is no longer around to cheer us with a quick smile, loving words and warm hugs. We are comforted by the knowledge that God has him in a special place and that Joaquin is at peace. Until we meet again, dear friend.
Tio Joaquin will be greatly missed. I am somewhat comforted to know you are with Memo. I will never forget and will be forever grateful for the short time I got to spend in Nicaragua with Tio Joaquin and Tia Blanca. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
