Flash Disabled Error for Videos

by brent.dalton on 05 May 2020 08:33 | 2153 Hits | 2 comment(s)

When uploading videos of any size, it gives a Adobe Flash is disabled error message when you try to play the video. This is either a bug or a feature, but it should be fixed. Either way, let people know that they won't be able to play videos that they upload or fix it so those videos play. I tried it on 2 different networks, with 3 different machines. Nobody can play the videos.

As major browsers deprecate Flash it is something we will be looking into upgrading to possibly to HTML5 Video.

I need my video to play. It is an mp4 and not a flash file. What gives ? I've tried other video formats but your site rejects them.

I tried to use a link that goes directly to a YouTube video and that link is somehow breaking and dropping back to the comments about the link that were stored when I used a form page on your site to setup the link.

Why are you disabling standard html links. I've noticed that it is impossible to post an active link anywhere on your site, using any of the tools that you provide. Even if I write links in Anchor Tags, your site makes them plain text. And complete url's that are pasted into any of your page forms, are not rendered in html but displayed as plain text....
