One of Dan's forite places, from the time he was in high school in Oak Ridge, until the time of his passing was The GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK. This photo was taken 31 October, 2012 at Newfound Gap, one of Dan's regular stops. The few days after placing Dan's ashes, his family made a celecration tour of some of his favorite places.

Just outside of the GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK is the city of Gatlinburg. Dan loved Gatlinburg and one of his favorite things was to eat CREPES at the PANCAKE PANTRY.
