LARRY R. GRING

Larry R. Gring, 81, of Springfield, VA and formerly of Boiling Springs, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 in  Springfield, VA.

Born April 11, 1932, in New Germantown, Pa, he was a son of the late Raymond W. and Lerew D. (Rhea) Gring.  He was the widower of Mary (Pheasant) Gring.

Larry held a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business administration from Elizabethtown College.  He was a retired accountant with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of General Services.  Larry was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict in Alaska.

He was a former member of the Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir.  He also held membership in the Boiling Springs Lions Club and the Mt. Holly Springs Golden Agers Club.  He also sang with the Carolinian Chorus in Carlisle.

Surviving are a son:  N. Kent Gring of Springfield, Va and a sister:  Jacqueline Shope of Linglestown.

Funeral services will be held at the Ronan Funeral Home on (DAY) with the Rev.    officiating.   Viewing will be at the funeral home on  (DAY).  Burial will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.  A memorial service for his new friends in Virginia will be held at the Springfield Christian Church on Sunday evening, 15 September at 4pm.
