Katrina Nadine Walker Love, daughter of James O. and MaeBelle Dunlap Walker, passed  June 17, 2013.

Katrina was born in St. Louis on August 1, 1960 the youngest of 5 daughters.   She graduated from Northwest High School and received her bachelor degree in Education from Harris-Stowe College and her Master's degree in Educational Administration from Maryville University.  Katrina loved learning and that's why she became a teacher.   As a teacher, she loved developing curriculum that would spark the light of understanding in a child's eyes – when she knew they "got it".   She truly believed that "the children are our future" and she was determined to ensure that each one of them was given every chance to succeed.

She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Soritiy Inc. and a past member of the St. Louis Colored Women's Club and Order of the Eastern Star Prince Hall Affiliated F & AM.  Katrina leaves to mourn her passing a daughter Matejia Love, a son, Demond Love,  2 sisters, Cherilyn Jarrett of St. Louis and Lynetta Weatherspoon of Chicago, Ill.,  3 nephews,  4 nieces and 2 aunts, Lucille V. Blount of St. Louis, Mo. and Irene Dunlap Joell of Baltimore, Maryland and a host of other relatives, friends, and of course – her students.
