Light a Candle
Jet's "real name" is Mary Geretta. We began calling her jet propelled Mary when she was very small and running around in her walker. She would chase us and moved very quickly - it soon became just Jet. Jet married at 17 to Alex Shull, he was the love of her life and they remained a close couple right to the end. Her big passions were her husband, her dogs, and working with them doing field trials and hunting. Her students (she was a special education teacher) and taking photos and learning. Jet was number 4 of 7 children, loved the outdoors and all sorts of animals and bugs from childhood on. She was very intelligent, interested in many different things and willing to put in the time to explore whatever caught her interest. She loved to travel, hunt, fish, bike, hike, cross country ski, go to the drag races and watch Al race, read, and spend time with her friends and family. She helped Al build their log home, she helped haul logs, she laid tile, put up paneling, did plumbing, etc. to build the home she wanted. I can't put into words how much she loved life and how much she is missed by her family.
