Giuseppe Torcasio an NCO/candidate officer was in the Italian heavy artillery battery with 2 x Obice da 149/19 model 37 Heavy Howitzers.A World War II veteran who saw action in Tobruk and The Battles for El Alamein North Africa. Participated in Operation Compass was known by the Italians as the "Battle of the Marmarica" . Giuseppe was born on October 21,1919, in Italy and passed on October 18,2012,Melbourne Australia three days short of his 93rd birthday Giuseppe was loved by many and will be dearly missed .
